McClain-Bumpers announce plans for May 17 wedding

Glenda and Nelson McClain announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Stephanie Leigh of Marbury, to Wesley Glover Bumpers, the son of Faye and William Bumpers, all of Jackson.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Elizabeth and George B. McCord of Prattville, and Ella McClain of Marbury and the late William "Bill" McClain.

Miss McClain graduated from Marbury HIgh School in 2003 and received an associate's degree at Alabama Southern Community College in 2005. She is currently seeking a bachelor's degree in nursing from Troy University and is employed by Baptist East Medical Center in Montgomery.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Irma Bumpers of Jackson and the late Wesley C. Bumpers, and Gwendolyn Horton of Jackson and the late Glover W. Horton.

Mr. Bumpers graduated from Jackson High School in 2001, received an associate's degree from Alabama Southern Community College in 2003 and a bachelor's degree in geomatics from Troy University in 2007. He is employed by Gulf States Engineering in Mobile.

The wedding will be an event of Saturday, May 17 in Ft. Walton Beach, Fla.
