Bridal showers honor Stephanie McClain

Stephanie McClain, bride-elect of Wesley Bumpers, was recently honored with several bridal showers.

Miscellaneous Shower

A miscellaneous bridal shower, April 13, was hosted by Connie Lewis at the Rocky Mount Bed & Breakfast in Prattville honoring Miss McClain.

In attendance were the brideelect's mother, Glenda McClain; her grandmothers, Elizabeth McCord and Ella McClain; and Faye Bumpers, mother of the prospective groom.

A beach theme was used in decorating.

Approximately 30 guests were in attendance. Guests were served cake, cheese cake, finger sandwiches, nuts, fruit tray and punch.

The couple received a variety of miscellaneous gifts.

Miscellaneous Shower

at Wesley Chapel The fellowship hall of the Wesley Chapel Methodist Church in Winn was the site of a miscellaneous bridal shower on April 19, 2008. Hosting the event were Martha Hayes, Susan Davis, April Barton and June Gissendanner.

Special guests included the bride-elect's mother; her grandmother, Elizabeth McCord; the groom-elect's mother, Faye Bumpers; and his grandmother, Irma Bumpers.

A variety of food was served on shell-shaped dishes to carry out the beach theme which included chocolate covered strawberries, nuts, cheese straws, finger sandwiches, cranberry pecan clusters and a cake prepared by Susan Davis, aunt of the groom-elect.

Pelicans dressed like a bride and groom decorated the gift table.

The couple received a variety of useful gifts from their guests. There were approximately 20 guests in attendance.
