Disaster drill conducted
 | | The Leroy Fire Department, in coordination with the Washington County Emergency Management Agency (EMA), conducted a realistic disaster/fire drill at Leroy High School Tuesday, May 6. Also participating were the St. Stephens, Wagarville and Jackson fire departments, Jackson Emergency Transport Service (JETS), the Washington County Sheriff's Department and LifeFlight. Several students participated by portraying injured victims. Students were evacuated from the school and staged in the school's football stadium while firefighters simulated response to the situation. (SA photo by Evan Carden) |
