Coffeeville High School 1949 senior graduates 58 years later Henry Dunagan dropped out of school in 1949 to enter the U.S. Navy. On July 20, 1949 after turning 18 Dunagan left for boot camp in San Diego, Calif. He served four years in the Navy, part during the Korean War, as part of a search and rescue squadron in Key West, Fla. While serving in Key West, he received his GED. In 1961, he graduated from Livingston State College with a bachelor of science degree in business education. After completing college, he was called to active duty in the Army National Guard during the Berlin crisis.
"Mr. Dunagan has had a very accomplished life and the graduating class of 2008 is proud to add his name to the list of candidates for the 2008 graduation ceremony," said a school spokesman. Graduation will be at Coffeeville High School Panther Stadium on May 22, 2008 at 6:30 p.m.
