May 10 wedding planned for Jackson - Williams

Miss Jackson and Mr. Williams
Avis M. Jackson of Gainestown and Roger Williams of Rockville will exchange wedding vows Saturday, May 10, 2008, 4 p.m. at the Mt. Olive No. 1 Baptist Church of Rockville.

Parents of the couple are Evelyn and Curley Jackson of Gainestown and Patricia Williams of Rockville and the late Dan Williams.

The bridge-elect is the granddaughter of Josephine and Jethro Rankin of Gainestown and the late Costella and Dan Jackson. Ms. Jackson is the mother of two daughters, Denesha S. Jackson and Jayla R. Williams. She is currently employed with HRDI at Life Tech Transitional Facility in Thomasville as an administrative assistant/case manager. A 1995 graduate of Jackson High School, she is attending South University and will receive her bachelor's degree in business management in December 2008.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Emma Washington of Rockville and the late Limmie Cave, David Williams and Delphine Jackson. Williams is the father of one son, Jaylin Williams, and three daughters, Jayla Williams, Janiqua Jackson and Jasmine Rocker. He is a 1991 graduate of Jackson High School and employed with Fulton Logging Company in Fulton.

A reception will follow the service at the H.W. Pearce Memorial Park Assembly House in Jackson. All family and friends are invited to attend through the medium of the press.
