White - Williams honored at prenuptial gatherings

Ashley White and Brad Williams have been honored with numerous parties in preparation for their marriage Saturday.

Engagement Party

The Kimbell House in Jackson was the site of an engagement party Saturday, Jan. 12, 2008.

Special guests included the couple's parents, Lynda White and Mr. and Mrs. Happy White, all of Jackson, and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Williams of Birmingham; grandparents and step-grandparents of the bride respectively, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wooten and Dr. Bob and Betty Bowling Carpenter, all of Jackson; Dr. and Mrs. Scott Coleman of Fairhope, brother and sister-in-law of the brideelect; and Misty, Mandy and Kristen Williams, sisters of the groom-elect, all of Birmingham.

Co-hosting the event were Wanda and Mike Blount, Jenny and Champ Bowling, Jackie and Steve Bradley, Janice and Kenny Burnette, Theresa and Walter Crim, Pat and Terry Harvey, Elaine and Kenneth Jones, Connie and Drew Outlaw, Anja and David Pace and Beth and Eric Walker.

A Mardi Gras theme was carried throughout with white lights used on both the front and back porches. The food table was tiered with a green cloth and two large vases filled with beads.

Guests were presented marinated shrimp and artichokes, grilled pork tenderloin with rolls, Pinot Noir mushrooms, veggie bars, chicken and pimento cheese sandwiches, assorted hot and cold dips, marinated asparagus, chess squares, rollo brownie treats, cookies and other sweets.

Miscellaneous Shower

Friends and co-workers from Pensacola gathered at the home of Chris and Kelly Reeves in Daphne, March 21, for a miscellaneous shower complimenting Miss White and Mr. Williams.

The couple was presented a gift basket which included an ice bucket, wine toppers, wine glasses and napkins by their hosts.

Lake Joe Joe

Fresh cut spring flowers decorated Lake Joe Joe April 5th.

Friends and family of Miss White and Mr. Williams were treated to an American Idol skit performed by Joe and Helen Skipper.

Refreshments included a variety of meats, seafood, finger foods and desserts.

Co-hosting the event were Laine and Bryant Bolen, Judy and Lee Boykin, Pat and Michael Furr, Patricia Harvey, Gretchen and Hines Heathcock, Sarah and Bill Higginbotham, Susan and Richard Long, Roxanne and Jimmy Nicholson, and Courtney and Cal Reeves.

The couple received a gift basket of wine, wine glasses and napkins from their hosts.

Miscellaneous Shower

The ladies of Stave Creek Baptist Church hosted a miscellaneous shower in the church fellowship hall honoring Miss White on Sunday, April 20.

Guests were served a variety of finger foods, desserts, and punch.
