What is a spiritual person?
Spiritual

Gal. 6:1, "Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted."

Have you ever heard someone say, "He isn't spiritual" or "She sure is spiritual"? The Bible defines for us what it means to be a spiritual person:

•A spiritual person has the Spirit's birth (John 3:5, "...verily, verily I say unto thee, except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.")

•A spiritual person believes the Spirit's book. (2 Tim. 3:16, 17 "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.")

•A spiritual person obeys the Spirit's beseeching. (Rom. 12:1, "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God...")

•A spiritual person walks in the Spirit's behavior. (I Cor. 6:17, But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.")

•And last but not least, a spiritual person experiences the Spirit's blessings. (Gal. 5:22, 23, "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance...")

When we meet these definitions of a "spiritual person" we are then able to "bear one another's burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ." Beliefs E.C. Russell First Assembly of God
