Board upholds 2007 Boise tax bill

      The Clarke County Board of Equalization upheld Boise's 2007 tax bill as set by state appraisers Tuesday, rejecting Boise's appeal for lower figures. The ruling could set up another court litigation like the 2006 tax case that still has not been resolved.

Jackson woman pleads not guilty to fraud charges

      A Jackson woman pleaded not guilty last week to federal fraud charges alleging that she siphoned money from a credit union where she served as manager from 1991 to 2005. Pamela Fogelman Gwin, 67, allegedly took about $60,000 from Allied Credit Union. She pleaded not guilty April 9.

Grove Hill Council votes to help fund cultural arts center
