History re-enactors to host 1800s dance at Clarke Museum Saturday

Ellen Williams and Steve Kennedy shared their love of history at the Clarke County Historical Society meeting.
Ellen Williams and Steve Kennedy, historical re-enactors and members of a group called the Clarke County Living History Group, were among those speaking to the Clarke County Historical Society this past Sunday in Grove Hill. They and others including Kerry Reid, Christopher East and Brent Fuller were dressed in period clothing that they said help to bring history alive for them and other history buffs.

The Living History Group will host an 1800s period dance Saturday, April 5 at 6:30 p.m. on the grounds of the Clarke County Museum in Grove Hill.

The public is invited and costumes are not required, although many of the re-enactors will be authentically dressed.

For more information on the Living History Group, call Brent Fuller at 251-275-3428.
