What He's done for others, He can do for you
Psalm 32 is part of David's confession to God after his terrible sin with Bathsheba. At first he tried to "cover" his own sin by pretending it didn't happen. But he finally came to his senses and confessed everything to God. How many times have we tried to "cover" our own sin by blaming someone else or pretending it never happened? I'm thankful to know that there is someone who can truly, totally cover sin … and His name is Jesus. What happens to your sin when you give it to Jesus? First, it is forgiven. This means "sent away." Second, it is covered. His blood is so powerful that it completely covers all your sins - yesterday and forever. Third, it is not counted against you. God doesn't credit it against you … your sins are now credited to Christ's account and His righteousness is now credited to your account. Think of it. Your sins are forgiven, totally removed, totally covered and not counted against you. They are gone, disappeared forever.
If you haven't repented of sin then you are a sinner in need of a Saviour and forgiveness. The good news is that through Jesus Christ all your sins can be forgiven like David's … totally erased because of His blood and the Cross of Calvary. He is no respecter of persons and what He's done for others He'll do for you.
