Literacy Coalition of Clarke Co. plans tutor training workshop The Literacy Coalition of Clarke County in conjunction with Goodwill Easter Seals of the Gulf Coast will be offering a free volunteer tutor training workshop for interested volunteers to assist with adult reading. The workshop will be held Tuesday, April 1, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Department of Human Resources on Highway 84 in Grove Hill. Lydia Gaudet will be the instructor from Good Will Easter Seals presenting the workshop. Lunch and refreshments will be provided. During the workshop, volunteers will be taught to use a successful adult reading program (Laubach Method) to work with adult readers. After the completion of the workshop, tutors will be matched with adults who want to improve their reading skills. Help change the life of another person in the most positive and amazing way by attending this workshop and becoming a literacy volunteer.
