Tibbie man charged with child sex abuse

A Tibbie man is currently out on $15,000 bond from the Washington County Jail, after being charged with two counts of sexual abuse on a child.

According to Chief Deputy Terry Beasley, Bruce Hayward Parnell, 47, is accused of having sexual relations with two children under the age of 12. The alleged incidents occurred approximately four years ago at a Washington County residence.

Deputy Sonya Gillam is the investigating officer.
