Photography contest and exhibit April 25-26

Amateur photographers are preparing for the third annual photography contest and exhibition in Grove Hill, April 25-26, at the Clarke County Museum.

The Arts Councils of Grove Hill and Thomasville, to promote an interest in art through photography are sponsoring "Photography In Your Own Backyard". Categories will be people, pets, scenes, wildlife and other. The featured special category is trees of Clarke County. There are divisions for middle school, high school and adult photographers.

Submissions may be made at the public libraries in Grove Hill, Thomasville and Jackson, the town hall in Coffeeville or the chamber of commerce in Grove Hill. Deadline for submitting entries is April 11. General rules are available on the Grove Hill Arts Council Web site, www.grovehillartscouncil. com.
