Truck loses axle, shuts down JA, 69
 | | David Runnels, of Hazelhurst, Miss., lost control of his 2008 Ford F-450 duel-wheel pickup, around 8:26 a.m., Tuesday, on Highway 69, hitting a tree and a utility pole before coming to rest near the entrance of the Magnolia Trace subdivision. According to Jackson Police reports, Runnels said the axle of his pickup came loose on the left side, causing the accident. The utility pole was broken, knocking out power to a number of customers in the area, including Jackson Academy, which was forced to cancel classes for the day. Highway 69 was closed and traffic was diverted to Club Wiley Road until 2:30 p.m., while electric company crews replaced the utility pole and put power lines back in place.
