Juvenile, 10, charged in cutting of teenager

      A 10 year old has been charged with assault in the cutting of a 16 year old. According to Jackson Police Investigator Richard Harvey, the incident occurred around 8:30 p.m., March 12, at a residence in the 300 block of Davis Avenue.

      Agents with the First Judicial Drug Task Force (Task Force One) recently participated in a statewide roundup, which produced 286 total arrests. Activities included 36 warrants served, 11 guns seized, 23 methamphetamine labs discovered and 15 drug-endangered children encountered.

Tibbie man charged with child sex abuse

      A Tibbie man is currently out on $15,000 bond from the Washington County Jail, after being charged with two counts of sexual abuse on a child. According to Chief Deputy Terry Beasley, Bruce Hayward Parnell, 47, is accused of having sexual relations with two children under the age of 12.
