MARK YOUR CALENDAR Association offers Easter egg hunt The Free Mission District Association invites everyone to an Easter egg hunt, Saturday, March 22, 12 noon until 3 p.m. at Moderator Tommie Moore's farm on Prestwick Road in Leroy. AIDT Leadership Development training to be offered Alabama Industrial Development Training (AIDT) is partnering with the Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce to offer the AIDT program to Jackson area businesses and industries April 1-2, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m., at the Alabama Southern Community College at the Jackson campus. This class will lay a foundation for all levels of leaders, and will focus on roles/ responsibilities, communication, teamwork, motivation and leadership. Kendall Haywood, a certified manager from the Institute of Certified Professional Managers at James Madison University, brings 19 years of experience in her class presentation. Preschool registration at First Baptist Jackson Registration for the 2008- 2009 school year is in progress at First Baptist Church in Jackson for their weekday preschool program. Classes offered are 4K for children who will be 4 before Sept. 2, 2008. This class meets daily 8 a.m. until 12 noon. Mother's Day Out classes meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays form 8 a.m. - 12 noon for children ages 6 months to 3 years old. CCERA to meet The Clarke County Education Retirees Association will meets today (March 20), 11:45 a.m. at the Fish House in Jackson. The program will be health/legal education. Class of 1989 planning a 20th reunion cruise The Jackson High School Class of 1989 is preparing for a 20 th reunion graduation cruise in 2009. Scholarship applications available The Jackson Rotary Club has scholarship applications available for all juniors and seniors in Clarke and Washington counties. To be eligible, applications must be post marked and mailed by March 26, 2008 and mailed to P.O. Box 22 Jackson, AL 36545. Students may receive applications from any Rotarian. Social assistance on Wednesdays at Salvation Army The Salvation Army Social Service office is open on Wednesdays from 9-11 a.m. and 2-4 p.m. When in need of assistance with food and a variety of other needs, the office attempts to assist where they can. Heart of Dixie Collectors Club meets last Monday of month The Heart of Dixie Collectors Club will meet the last Monday of every month at the Jackson Steakhouse at 7 p.m. in the meeting room. Collectors of all types are welcome in sharing their knowledge and collections.
