Area Obituaries Henry Edd Roberts Henry Edd "Bubba" Roberts, died March 8, 2008 at his residence in Coffeeville at the age of 67. A native of Coffeeville, he was a retired owner of B&R Contractors, a member of Rockville Baptist Church and a veteran of the Vietnam era. He is survived by three sons, Robin Timothy Roberts, Reginal Charles Roberts and Jarrod Brian Roberts, all of Jackson; his mother, Eunice York Roberts of Jackson; a daughter, Rhonda Roberts Coker of Jackson; two brothers, Charles Rex Roberts of Mobile and Hannis Neal Roberts of Montgomery; a sister, Jane Marie McCoy of Nashville, Tenn.; and eight grandchildren. Funeral services were March 11 at First Baptist Church of Coffeeville with the Revs. William Allison and Roscoe Wentworth officiating. Interment was in the Coffeeville Cemetery directed by Lathan Funeral Home of Jackson. Pallbearers were Cory Roberts, Joshua Roberts, Adam Roberts, Collin Roberts, Austin Roberts and Jayson McCoy. Clara Mae Sheffield Clara Mae Sheffield, 73, died March 9, 2008 in an area health care facility. She was a retired seamstress for Vanity Fair and a member of Fairhope Baptist Church of Chatom. She is survived by her husband, William Perry Sheffield of Jackson; and two daughters, Deliah Cranford of Houston, Texas and Sherry Shepherd of Citronelle. Funeral services were March 12 in the chapel of Lathan Funeral Home of Jackson with the Rev. Bennie Harrison officiating. Interment was in the Fairhope Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Raymond Woodyard, Rudolph Woodyard, Wilson Turner and Jack Sheffield. Ellen Neugent Toland Ellen Neugent Toland, a lifelong resident of Jackson and member of the First Presbyterian Church of Jackson, died March 6, 2008 at the Mobile Infirmary. She was 58 years of age. Ms. Toland had served as Clarke County Administrator for nearly 30 years. Gaines and Genevieve Nuegent, her parents, preceded her in death. She is survived by one daughter, Ashley Helen Toland of Mobile; a twin sister, Helen Linton of Jackson; and two brothers, Chris Neugent of Jackson and Michael Neugent of Gulf Shores.
