Jackson BMAC swimmers compete in Nashville

Baldwin Mobile Aquatic Club (BMAC) swimmers competed in the Southeastern Short Course Championship Feb. 21-24 at the Centennial Sports Plex in Nashville, Tenn. From left, Carrie Beverely, Ben Morseth and John Colby Chastain of Jackson participated in the event. They matched up against 955 swimmers from 51 states including Alabama, Tennessee and northwest Florida swim teams. Ben Morseth, son of Judith and Gordon Morseth, finaled with a sixth-place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke and a seventh-place finish in the 200-yard breaststroke. He is one of only eight swimmers that qualified to participate in the Age Group Sectional meet in Charlotte, N.C. March 13-16. Beverly is the daughter of Abby and Byron Beverly.
