Esther 2:17 "And the king loved Esther above all the women, and she obtained grace and favour in his sight more than all the virgins; so that he set the royal crown upon her head, and made her queen instead of Vashti."
The Book of Esther is a great account of God's miraculous provision for His people. There is a great truth in the saying "There are no such things as coincidences - only miracles." It was no coincidence that a Jewish girl became a part of the king's contest. It was not by chance that when she was brought to the palace to begin her preparation for the contest, she immediately won the favor of the eunuch in charge of the harem. It was not by luck that she was more beautiful and more appealing than the others for the position of the new queen. It was God - not luck, that would eventually bring Esther before the king as an intercessor for her people, the Jews.
The Book of Esther is like a jigsaw puzzle. The pieces fit together perfectly. It's a perfect plan. The events of your life are not mere chances. God has a perfect plan for you. Of course we will have difficulties and obstacles along the way but we can be confident that our God will help us fulfill His plan for us.
What part has God called you to play in His perfect plan? Be faithful to whatever it is that He has called you to do for Him, and do it to the best of your ability.
