Tickets still available for annual dinner/auction

As of Tuesday, approximately 30 tickets were still available for the annual dinner/auction, from which proceeds go to support the Washington County Public Library.

The event, hosted by the Friends of the Washington County Public Library, will take place Feb. 29 at the Chatom Community Center, with viewing of the silent and live auction items to begin at 5:30 p.m. It serves as the major fundraiser that supports the library and its programs.

The theme for this year's event is "Catch the Reading Bug." Some of the highly sought after items at this year's auction include Scott House bedroom furniture, an antique curio cabinet, Genevieve Southerland paintings and artworks of other well-known Gulf Coast artists.

Tickets are $30 and may be purchased at the Washington County Public Library. For information call (251) 847-2097.
