Church Calendar Founder's Day and Black History Program at Spencer Chapel A.M.E. Church The Spencer Chapel A.M.E. Church of Fulton will present a Founder's Day and Black History program Sunday, Feb. 24 at 11 a.m. The Rev. W.T. Lesueur is pastor. Old fashion food will be served following the service. All are invited to attend. Revival to be presented in Chickasaw The New Testament Tabernacle, located on 330 S. Craft Highway between the Family Dollar Store and the Tire Store in Chickasaw, is hosting a revival through Feb. 23 at 7:30 nightly. Guest ministers will be Bro. Johnny Kitchens, today (Feb. 21) and Bro. Reed on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 22 and 23. Everyone is encouraged to take part. Weekend gospel meeting at Thomasville Church of Christ A weekend gospel meeting, Feb. 22-24, will feature a different speaker for each service at the Thomasville Church of Christ. Services on Sunday will be at 10 and 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday nights will be at 7:30. Located at the corner of 3rd St. and Worl, everyone is invited to join in the spiritual singing, praise, prayer and Bible lessons. Revival and annual Brotherhood meeting at Inspirational Tabernacle Prophetess Ramona Armstead will be the guest speaker at a revival at Inspirational Tabernacle COGIC in Jackson Feb. 22. Pastor Beverly Jackson said the focus will be restoration. The annual Brotherhood meeting services will be conducted March 3-7 at 7:30 nightly. Men only are invited to the Friday noon gathering. Prophet Cleveland Shearls of Abundance of Blessings of Moss Point, Miss. will be the speaker of the week said Pastor Jim House. Annual Old Ship of Zion program Feb. 24 The Golden Voices of Newbern, New Direction of Tuscaloosa and the Jackson Male Chorus will provide the music for the Annual Old Ship of Zion program and Old Saint Matthew Baptist Church in the Lilly Valley community in Choctaw Bluff. Interim Pastor C.C. McCants announced that the Rev. Michael Howard, pastor of the True Light Baptist Church of Mobile, will be guest speaker and Minister Caron Watkin, mistress of ceremony at the Sunday, Feb. 24 event, beginning at 2 p.m. Guest churches will be True Light Baptist Church, Big John, St. Luke Baptist, Union Chapel, Rocky Mount, St. Matthew No. 1, St. James, Antioch A.M.E., Miracle of Faith, Mt. Nebo, Mt. Gillard, Cedar Fork, St. John, James Chapel, Church of God Pentecostal, Verna Chapel, Mt. Olive No. 1, Mt. Olive No. 2, St. Union, New Cannon, St. Paul, Greater Pilgrim Rest, Little Burrah Baptist and Greater Mt. Sinai. A hot fish/chicken dinner will be served. Members are asked to donate $25, visitors at will. Ecuador fund-raiser at FUMC The First United Methodist Church in Jackson, together with area merchants, will host a fashion show to assist in raising money for an Ecuador mission trip. It will be an evening including hors d'oeuvres, door prizes and the latest in fashions. Area merchants will be showcased. The fashion show will be Friday, Feb. 29 at 6:30 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church. Admission is free, however, donations will be greatly appreciated. Rev. Bracy to speak at Matrons Day The Rev. Robert L. Jackson, pastor of Goodwill Missionary Baptist Church, invites the community to a Matrons Day program March 2 at 3 p.m. The speaker and special guests for the occasion will be the Rev. Walter G. Bracy and the choir and congregation of the First Baptist Church in Prichard. Youth Day Revival through Feb. 22 The Leroy AOH Church of God is hosting a Youth Day Revival through Feb. 22, 7 nightly and climaxing Feb. 24 at 3 p.m. Pastor Christopher A. Smith encourages all to attend and bring friends, co-workers, associates and family members. Choirs are requested to render an A selection. Speakers for the program are as follows: Thursday, Minister Steve Henry; Friday, Minister Jim Perine; and Sunday, Elder Lucille Henry.
