Ribbon cut at new Ergon Trucking terminal

City officials and members of the Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce joined Ergon Trucking company officials for a ribbon cutting ceremony at the company's new trucking terminal on Clolinger Road in the Paul Parham Industrial Park, Feb. 7. Ergon company officials attending included Senior Vice-President Jim Clunan, Vice President of Safety David Purvis, Maintenance Director Darrell Little, Assistant Maintenance Director Charlie Pittman, Vice President of Operations Russ Maroney and Terminal Manager Earlo Duck. Ergon Trucking is a carrier of crude oil, lube oil and other chemicals. Locally they serve as a hauler of caustic liquor for Boise. the company has 240 trucks that run nationwide in the 48 continental U.S. and Canada. The company operates 12 trucks locally and has a backup terminal with 21 trucks located in Petal, Miss. Those attending last Thursday's ribbon cutting were treated to a fried fish lunch.
