Gov. Bob Riley addresses assembly at Jackson Academy

Governor Bob Riley visited Jackson Academy Monday, Feb. 8.

Logan Barnes, SGA president along with fellow students Corey Arnold, Cecilia Caldwell, Dent Beard and Corwren Horton escorted Gov. Riley into the gym where he was welcomed by Headmaster Rance Carr, Stanley Beard, Paul Parham and the faculty of JA. Parham had the honor of introducing Gov. Riley to the assembly.

Gov. Riley spoke to the entire student body, faculty, parents and supporters of Jackson Academy. He stressed the importance of good moral values, a strong educational background and participation in Alabama's economic growth.

The assembly responded with a standing ovation to Gov. Riley's challenging remarks. As he left, Governor Riley said he hopes to visit Jackson Academy again.
