John Henry and Whitman Jefferson Cowen Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Cowen (nee Elaine Roberts) of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla. announce the birth of twin boys, John Henry and Whitman Jefferson. John weighed 4 lbs., 6 oz. and Whitman, 4 lbs., 11 oz. Grandmother is Elaine R. Chapman of Butler. Great-grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Glover F. Roberts of Jackson. Richard Coleman Deas Mr. and Mrs. Richard Joseph "Bo" Deas (nee Nikki Andrews) announce the birth of a son, Richard Coleman, Jan. 9, 2008 at Jackson Medical Center. He weighed 6 lbs. 10 oz. and was 20 inches long. Grandparents are Vickie and Dale Dumas of Grove Hill, Sid Andrews of Walker Springs and Gloria and Richard Deas of St. Stephens. Greatgrandparents are Ann and James Alford of Thomasville, Yvonne and Chester Andrews of Walker Springs and Dalma Deas of St. Stephens.
David Ogden Smith Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Smith (nee Emily Etheredge) of Jackson, announce the birth of a son, David Ogden "Bud", Jan. 31, 2008 at Providence Hospital in Mobile. He weighed 6 lbs., 5 oz. and was19 inches long. Grandparents are Randy Etheredge of Jackson and the late Judy Etheredge, and Jeannie and Bill Smith of Richton, Miss. He was welcomed home by big brother Eli who is 3 years old. Ellie Claire Busby Mr. and Mrs. Brad Busby (nee Kate Duren) of St. Stephens announce the birth of a daughter, Ellie Claire, Jan. 16, 2008 at Providence Hospital. She weighed 4 lbs., 10.5 oz.
Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. John Duren of Jackson and Mr. and Mrs. Louie Busby of St. Stephens. Great-grandmother is Nell Smith of St. Stephens and great-grandfathers, Gene Blount of Leroy and John Duren of Milton Fla.
