Land Judging Contest 2008

The Clarke and Washington Counties Soil & Water Conservation District (SWCD) recently conducted its 2008 Land Judging Contest at Frank W. and Rob M. Boykin Wildlife Management Area near Charity Chapel in Washington County. Students from Clarke, Washington and Marengo counties were judged on four sites: homesite, cropland, forestland and pastureland. Conservation education sponsors for the Contest were Clarke County Farmers Federation, Coca-Cola, Weyerhaeuser, Parham & Parham, Merchants Bank, Hamilton Timber, Lathan Funeral Home, Olin Corp., Dearmon Timber, ALAMISS, SouthWest Bank, First Community Bank and The South Alabamian.
