Poll workers honored
Poll workers at the National Guard Armory in Jackson were ready to assist voters during Tuesday's primary elections. From left are Marlyn Cranford, Shirley W. Hickman, Sue Thomas, Marilyn Parker and voter Linda Wingard. Clarke County's poll workers were honored, Sunday, with a special recognition hosted by the Southwest Alabama Improvement Association (SWAIA). The event took place at the H.W. Pearce Memorial Park Assembly House in Jackson and was sponsored by Mosley Funeral Services of Thomasville, Harrison & Harrison Insurance and Real Estate, John Brown State Farm Insurance & Financial Services, McCorquodale & McCorquodale Law Office and the SWAIA. Program committee members were Markus Stallworth, Bernita Stallworth, Teri Tidwell, Cosandra Johnson, Tyrone Moye, Geraldine Merida, Joe L. Merida, Mary Golthy and Ozell L. Hubert.
