Gov. Riley to visit here Monday

The public is invited to attend a meeting with Gov. Bob Riley at 11 a.m., Monday, Feb. 11, at Jackson City Hall.

The governor is expected to make the official announcement of the location of New Gas Concepts' wood briquette producing plant in the city's new industrial park located off J.W. Andrews Highway.

Prior to the meeting at city hall, Riley is scheduled to meet with area public officials at Jackson High School to discuss opportunities related to the location of steel producing giant ThyssenKrupp in Calvert.

Jackson Mayor Richard Long encouraged citizens to attend the meeting at Jackson City Hall to show their appreciation to Gov. Riley for his economic efforts in the area.
