Annual musician's appreciation

hosted at Antioch A.M.E.

Musicians Bro. Ricky Hunt Sr., Bro. Terrance Washington and Little Ricky Hunt Jr. will be honored at the annual musician's appreciation at Antioch A.M.E. Church of Gainestown. The celebration will be Saturday, Feb. 9 at 6:30 p.m.

Elder Christopher Smith, pastor of Leroy A.O.H. Church of God of Leroy, will be the guest speaker. Carl "Dr. Feel Good" Moore will be the master of order. Pastor Robert Taylor encourages all to attend.

Black history program Feb. 17

Elder Christopher Smith will be the speaker at the Church of God Pentecostal in Choctaw Bluff Sunday, Feb. 17 at 1 p.m. at a black history program. Elder in charge, Jim Perine Jr. invites all to take part.

Hills honored for 10-year anniversary

Rock Bar Missionary Baptist Church in Coffeeville will host a 10th anniversary celebration for the Rev. and Sis. Amos Hill Sunday, Feb. 10 at 3 p.m. The Rev. James McGhee of New Hopewell Baptist Church in Laurel, Miss. will be the guest speaker.

Youth Day Revival Feb. 18-22

The Leroy AOH Church of God will host a Youth Day Revival Feb. 18-22, 7 nightly and climaxing Feb. 24 at 3 p.m. Pastor Christopher A. Smith encourages all to attend and bring friends, co-workers, associates and family members.

Choirs are requested to render an A selection.

Speakers for the program are as follows: Monday, Elder Darius Chapman; Tuesday, Min. Eldridge Jackson; Wednesday, Evangelist Mary Marsha; Thursday, Minister Steve Henry; Friday, Minister Jim Perine; and Sunday, Elder Lucille Henry.

Mt. Zion hosts Marriage & Singles Banquet

The community is invited to a Marriage & Singles Banquet sponsored by the Mt. Zion No. 2 Baptist Church. This event will be conducted at Preschool Unlimited (the old skating ring) in Jackson, Feb. 16 at 7 p.m. Guest speaker will be Pastor Effelle Williams of Selma.

Tickets are $25 per couple and $15 for singles.

Cedar Fork celebrates 138th church anniversary

Pastor Leo Dawson of Birmingham will be the guest speaker for the 138th church anniversary of Cedar Fork Baptist Church in Suggsville. It will be an event of Sunday, Feb. 10 at 12 noon with dinner to follow. The Rev. Credell Bolden is pastor.

guest speakers at Women and Men's Day

The Rev. King David Jackson, pastor and his congregation of Mt. Nebo Baptist Church in Carlton invite the community to Women and Men's Day, Sunday, Feb. 10 at 2 p.m.

Guest speakers and choir will be from the New Saint Matthew Baptist Church of Choctaw Bluff. The Rev. Kevin Boykin, pastor, will speak to the men and Minister Rosharon Boykin will speak to the women.

Black History and Founder's Day

at St. James A.M.E.

St. James A.M.E. Church of Choctaw Bluff will be conducting Black History and Founder's Day Sunday, Feb. 10 at 11 a.m. The Rev. Clausell Boykin, pastor, invites all to attend.

Crusade at Inspirational Tabernacle

Prophet J.L. Brown with Eagle Eye Ministries of Pittsboro, N.C. will be the guest minister for the crusade continuing through Feb. 8, 7:30 nightly at the Inspirational Tabernacle COGIC Church in Jackson. Senior Choir anniversary at Pine Chapel No. 2

Pine Chapel Baptist Church No. 2 will celebrate their Senior Choir anniversary on Sunday, Feb. 10 at 2:30 p.m. All choirs, groups and soloists are invited to attend rendering an A & B selection. The Rev. Cleveland Williams is interim pastor, Deacon Charles Johnson, minister of music and Sister Bridget Moye, choir president.
