Reeves to celebrate 50th wedding anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. James Bertram Reeves of the McVay community will be celebrating 50 years of marriage on Feb. 1. The former Mary Joyce Dungan and James Reeves exchanged vows at the Pilgrims Rest Primitive Baptist Church in McVay on Feb. 1, 1958.
While beginning their life together in McVay, they have lived in a number of locations, including two years at Fort Belvior, Va. while James was enlisted in the U.S. Army. He worked 24 years in Mobile and nine years in Nashville in civil service positions.
The couple has one daughter, Lara Louise, and three grandchildren, Joey, Brandy and Joy Cramblitt, all of Meridian, Miss.
