The strapless full ballgown had ivory re-embroidered French Alencon lace overlaid on the bodice and onto the dropped waistline. The skirt swept to a chapel length train. Her veil was also chapel length and fell just beyond the train. A wide band of ivory re-embroidered lace, which matched the lace of the gown, edged the ivory illusions veil from the fingertips. The bride carried a bouquet of Vendella roses, white sprays and white cymbidium orchids. Kira Lisette Ledbetter of Dadeville served as the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Amy Melissa Miller, Julie Johnson Bowen, sister of the groom, and Caroline Hayden Snellgrove, cousin of the bride, of Greenville; Krisan Patricia Thompson of Eustis, Fla., Elizabeth Abigail Johnson of Alpharetta, Ga. and Lauren Evelyn Sims of Perry, Ga. The attendants entered to "Canon in D" and wore two piece dupioni silk ensembles that were merlot in color. The dresses were accented by a merlot sash. The bridesmaids carried bouquets of confetti roses, red spray roses, yellow freesia, Kiko roses, purple stock and green berries. Parker Avonne Shearer, cousin of the bride, of Elberta, served as the flower girl. She wore an ivory dupioni silk dress and carried a kissing ball of ivory roses. Robert Allen Johnson, father of the groom, served as the best man. Groomsmen were Benjamin Hugh Johnson, brother of the groom, of Foley, Joseph Dock Chastain, brother of the bride, and Van Don Huff III, both of Greenville, Ryan Curtis Burton of Prattville, Robert Michael Lang of Selma and Clayton Hughes McEntire of Birmingham. Serving as the ring bearer, was Chase Alexander Black, cousin of the groom, of Georgianna. He carried a champagne satin pillow with white organza ribbon. The exterior church doors were embellished with matching floral wreaths of green hydrangeas, confetti roses, Kiko roses, purple stock and solidego accented with ivory sashes with the bride and groom's initial. Two large arrangements of Confetti roses, Kiko roses, purple stock, James Storie Orchids, green hydrangeas, Bells of Ireland and solidego were placed on each side of the altar. The baptistry was aglow with candles of varying heights. Each of the stained glass windows in the sanctuary was accented by a hurricane lamp surrounded by fresh greenery. As guests arrived, programs tied with satin ribbons, were handed out by Emily Taylor Acton of Birmingham and Melissa Lynn Traylor of Rainsville. Hannah McBride Richard of Greenville served as the attendant for the bride's book. As ushers Bryan Douglass Parker, Joe Earl Bradford III and Justin Phillip Pierce, all of Greenville, seated guests, The Rosewood Strings Quartet of Montgomery played traditional nuptial arrangements. After the grandmothers were seated, Sabrina Reynolds of Greenville sang "How Beautiful" and following the seating of the mothers, Evan Thomas of Dothan sang "I Will Be Here". Both soloists were accompanied on the piano by Benjamin Hugh Johnson, brother of the groom. Pat Skipper of Greenville served as the organist. A reception was hosted immediately following the ceremony at Cambrian Ridge Golf Course. The bride and groom performed a waltz as their first dance. Guests danced to the musical stylings of the band Tapestry. The bride's cake was a fourtier round almond cake with ivory butter-cream icing. White icing in the pattern of the lace of the bride's gown cascaded down the layers. White roses adorned the top of the cake. The groom's cake was a three-tier death by chocolate cake with chocolate icing. The cake, embellished with pears and confetti roses, displayed the Auburn University insignia, alma mater of the bride and groom.
The couple traveled to Couples Swept Away in Negril, Jamaica for their honeymoon. They now reside in Auburn.
