New animal control truck
 | | Jackson Animal Control Officer Lee Hutto shows off the new truck for his department recently purchased by the city. Hutto uses the truck to respond to incidents within the city limits involving animals and to enforce the city's ordinances pertaining to animal control. The vehicle is also used to transport animals to and from the city pound. Hutto reminds citizens that Jackson has a leash law, as well as a recently enacted vicious dog ordinance. He also stated that the city dog pound does not serve as an animal shelter where unwanted pets may be dropped off. Hutto's jurisdiction is only within the Jackson city limits.
