McIntosh PD arrests two for pot possession Two separate traffic stops by McIntosh Police Officer Brad Singleton resulted in two men charged with illegal possession of marijuana. Robert Weaver, 30, of Fairford was stopped on Pat Lane Circle around 3 p.m., Jan. 27, by Officer Singleton, who noticed he was not wearing a seat belt. Singleton said he noticed Weaver was behaving nervously and called for backup. Shortly afterwards, Lt. Charles Koger arrived on the scene and the officers obtained consent from Weaver to search his vehicle. During the search, the officers located a bag under the driver's seat containing what they believed to be approximately one ounce of marijuana. Weaver was arrested and booked into the Washington County Jail on a first degree possession of marijuana charge. Another arrest took place around 12:30 p.m., Jan. 26, when Singleton stopped a vehicle driven by Damine Dickinson, 22, of Panama City, Fla., for an illegal tint violation. Singleton observed that Dickinson was acting nervously and asked for consent to search his vehicle. Singleton's request was denied, so he requested that Task Force One Agent Blane Barnett bring a drug-sniffing dog to the scene. While waiting for Barnett to arrive, Officer Singleton noticed what appeared to be marijuana residue on the window seal of the vehicle. "This gave me probable cause to search the subject's vehicle," he stated. "During the search I and Agent Barnett found what we believed to be two marijuana blounts (cigars) under the driver's seat."
Dickinson was arrested and charged with second degree possession of marijuana.
