Jackson Dixie League officers announced; sign-up scheduled

Jackson Dixie League officers were announced last week with Will Blount taking over as Dixie League president. Ivan Pezent is vice president and Dawn Rinders is secretary and treasurer.

The new board members are James Bayles, Dan Allen, Keith Mitchell, Fred Bryant and Brian Reeves.

Sign-up for Dixie League baseball is Feb.5, 7 and 12 from 4-6:30 p.m at the North Jackson Park. Cost is $65. Applicant must provide a birth certificate and parents or legal guardian must be present at time of registration.

Players are eligible for Dixie League if their 13th birthday falls before May, 1. Also the player can not turn 15 before May, 1.
