Wilcox sweeps Eagles
JA boys, girls fall on the road to Wilcox Academy

The Jackson Academy Eagles' boys and girls varsity basketball teams were swept Tuesday, Jan. 8 at Wilcox Academy.

The Eagles boys fell 47-29 after leading 21-15 at intermission. Wesley Harris led the team in scoring with eight points. Sawyer Donald added five and David Hughston had four for JA.

•The Lady Eagles suffered the same fate to Wilcox falling 42-32 after building a 23-16 lead at the break. Maggie Bowling and Evin Bowling each had nine points to lead the Eagles in scoring. Nancy Evans had seven, Kellen Overstreet six and Laken Harvey added two for Jackson.

The Eagles boys and girls were scheduled to host Escambia Academy Tuesday, Jan. 15.

Sparta Academy travels to Jackson Friday, Jan. 18 before the Eagles hit the road again Monday, Jan. 21 for a return trip to Escambia.
