The Jackson High School Lady Aggies split this past week's games with a 48-43 win over Escambia County on the road and a 43-39 set-back to Thomasville at home Friday, Jan. 11.

JHS traveled to Escambia Tuesday, Jan. 8, for a key area game and the Aggies prevailed with a five point victory (48- 43). Raven Tiggs was the leading scorer for Jackson with 14 points while Brittanee Crayton chipped in with 10.

The Aggies lost a tough game against the Thomasville Tigers 43-39 to drop JHS to 2-1 in area play.

After leading 16-11 at the end of the first period, Thomasville took control with a 12-2 run to end the half up 23-18. Genesis Bernard led the Lady Aggies in scoring with 15 points. Shelby Crawford led Thomasville with 10.

"We gave up too many offensive rebounds and fell asleep in the third quarter. You can't do that against a good team and expect to win," Aggie coach Trinnia McKenzie said.
