CCADC breakfast honors Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

The Clarke County chapter of the Alabama Democratic Conference (CCADC) conducted its annual breakfast in memory of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. at the National Guard Armory in Jackson Saturday, Jan. 12. Speaker for the event was Judge Marvin Wiggins of the Fourth Judicial Circuit. A number of local public officials were in attendance as well as many CCADC members. Special recognitions were presented to Rosie Bumpers Howze and Annie Deloris Morris. Howze was recognized for being the first African-American district court clerk and chief magistrate in Clarke County. Morris was recognized for being the first African- American administrator for Clarke County.
