JMS computer lab opens

JMS teachers work in the new computer lab recently completed at JMS. Opened for the first time this week, the lab was used for a large potion of the in-service that took place on Jan. 7. It features 60 networked computers connected to the Internet providing JMS students with a much needed Internet accessible lab. "We are very excited about having the lab and look forward to using it to prepare the students of this community for a technology driven society," stated JMS Principal, Jessie L. Taylor. "We would like to thank the City of Jackson, Mayor Long, and the City Council for providng the funds that made this project possible. JMS would also like to thanks the Kiwanis Club for their donation." Above (in no particular order) are: Richard Brown, Latoria McCall, Tomiko Taylor, Wilma Evans, Cherilyn Purnell and Shameka Bryant.
