Fire lane parkers should be ticketed
      Last week we ran an article concerning illegal parking in fire lanes at shopping centers in Jackson. I do a lot of driving around town and have noticed a couple of problem areas. One particularly bad place is at the Jackson Plaza.

Fuller makes another attempt to justify no bond for Siegelman
      Last Wednesday afternoon, Mark Fuller, the United States District Court judge who presided at the Don Siegelman trial, made his second attempt to satisfy the U.S. Court of Appeals in Atlanta concerning his decision not to release the former governor on bond pending appeal.

This Week In Alabama History
      January 10, 1957: Six pre-dawn bombings in Montgomery damage four black churches and two ministers' homes, including that of Montgomery Bus Boycott leader Ralph Abernathy. The violence came on the heels of several shooting incidents in which recently desegregated city buses were fired upon.
