Medication Comparison

I occasionally have trouble falling asleep. So, I used to pick up a "sleep aid" once in a while like Tylenol PM until I looked to see what I was really taking. I realized that it was generic Benadryl with Tylenol. I started pricing it, and sold as a sleep aid, it was often several times the cost of the same medicine in an allergy package. So I just shop a different shelf for the same thing.

Best Way to Clean Silver

Line a bowl with foil (shiny side up) and add baking soda and boiling water. Place your silver into the bowl and leave it there for 1/2 hour. Rinse off the soda.

Library Savings

As the director of a public library, I thought I'd point out some ways to save money at your library. Many libraries have great activities for adults, including book discussion groups, concerts, computer classes and more. Most public libraries also have computers that offer word processing, spreadsheets, and access to the Internet for free!

Your public library probably offers databases with the full text of thousands of magazine and newspaper articles, genealogical information, legal forms, and more. In many cases, these can be accessed from your home computer even when the library is closed (great for that Sunday night homework panic!), and others can be accessed from within the library. Many libraries also offer services where you can "ask a librarian" or get homework assistance using Instant Messaging, e-mail, and other online tools.
