South Alabamian Guidelines for wedding announcements The South Alabamian is imposing new guidelines for wedding publications effective Jan. 1, 2008. Wedding articles, along with a photograph if desired, must be submitted within four weeks following the wedding to be published without charge. Articles should be 500 words or less. There will be a charge for wedding write-ups that are longer than 500 words in length or that are published past the four-week deadline. Information for showers and wedding parties must be submitted for publication as they occur. They will not be published with the wedding article. All submissions must fit The South Alabamian's writing style to be published without cost.
