WashCo poll workers to be honored

On Thursday, Jan. 17, the Washington County Democratic Executive Committee (WCDEC) will honor the poll workers of Washington County with a covered dish supper at the Chatom Community Center at 7 p.m.

"All Washington County citizens and elected officials are invited to come out and help recognize and honor the people who do such a good job of running the elections in Washington County on the precinct level," said WCDEC Chairman Tommy Fuller. "They work long hours for little pay at each election. It is a source of great pride for the Washington County Democratic Executive Committee to recognize and appreciate these deserving and dedicated people."

Those who attend are asked to bring a covered dish of their choice. A meat, casserole, vegetable, salad, bread or dessert, or all of the above. Tea, coffee and soft drinks will be provided.

Dress is casual. Call 251-513- 1499 for more information.
