Eddie Ray Hart Sr., 75, died Nov. 12, 2008 in a Mobile hospital. A native of Carlton and resident of Grove Hill, he was an independent truck driver and a member of Tompkins Baptist Church in Grove Hill.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia Hart of Grove Hill; two sons, Eddie Ray (Lisa) Hart Jr. of Wilmer and Gregory L. (Patsy) Hart of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; two daughters, Dianne (Charles) Lee of Millbrook and Sharon (Kenneth) Stork of Irvington; two sisters, Lorene Padgett of Grove Hill and Nita Jones of Birmingham; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Nov. 15 at the Tompkins Baptist Church, with interment in the Gainestown Methodist Cemetery in Gainestown. Arrangements were directed by Lathan Funeral Home of Jackson.
