Calvert Gamble, 94, of Jackson, died Oct. 7, 2008 at Jackson Health Care. She was a member of Mt. Olive No. 2 Baptist Church of Jackson. Preceding her in death were one daughter, Idell M. Coleman; and two sons, Sylvester Gamble and Jerry B. Gamble.

Survivors include three daughters, Essie M. Gamble, Dorotha Jackson and Ruthie (Oscar) Jackson, all of Jackson; two sons, Aruthur (Pearl) Gamble Jr. of Cincinnati, Ohio and Clarence Gamble of Jackson; 18 grandchildren 20 great-grandchildren and one great-greatgrandchild.

Viewing will be Saturday, Oct. 11, 1 p.m. to the funeral hour at 2, at Mt. Olive No. 2 Baptist Church with the Rev. D.W. Moore as officiating minister. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery under the direction of Jackson Memorial Funeral Home of Jackson.
