Jimmie David Howell Jr., 48, died Oct. 1, 2008 at a Baldwin County health facility. A native and resident of Jackson, Howell was a carpenter for Alchemy Renovations, a member of the Jackson Golf Association and a member of the Visitation Catholic Church in Jackson.

Survivors include his mother, Martha Howell of Jackson; two brothers, Scott Howell of Leroy and Jason Howell of Thomasville; five sisters, Barbara Bell and Melissa Harrell, both of Leroy, Linda Brown, Sharon Noble and Jennifer Huebner, all of Jackson.

Funeral services were Oct. 3, in the chapel of Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson with Fr. James Havens and the Rev. Danny Chancey officiating. Interment was in Trinity Memorial Gardens in Jackson.

Active pallbearers were Clifton Bell, Roger Newton, Chris Autry, Byron Davis, Gene Whitehead and Michael Batley.
