James Wilton "Red" Fore Jr., 85, died at The Specialty Hospital in Meridian, Miss., Aug. 17, 2008. A native of Monroe County and resident of Livingston, he was also a former resident of Coffeeville. Fore was a retired Air Force captain, having served in WWII, the Korean Conflict and Vietnam. He was a member of the Union Chapel United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two sons, James W. "Jim" Fore III and Roger Glenn Fore, both of Coffeeville; four daughters, Cherry Louise Hart of Americas, Ga., Glenda Miller of Irvington, Gretchen Sudduth of Livingston and Tammy Shewmake of Coffeeville; one brother, Fantroy Fore of Albany, Ga.; a sister, Joyce Ann Fore of Slidell, La.; 10 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was Aug. 20, 5-8 p.m. at the Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson. Funeral services are today (Thursday), Aug. 21, 2 p.m. in the chapel of Lathan Funeral Home. Interment will be in Coffeeville Cemetery with full military honors.

Active pallbearers will be Donna Brown, Kara Ivy, Michael Miller, Angela Crager, Jessica Griffin, Joshua Fore, Eric Shewmake, Jami Kimbell, Arville Miller, Alan Brown and Tyler Dickerson.

Honorary pallbearers will include his special caretakers, Pauline Lake, Rita Malone, Specialty Hospital North nurses and staff, Rush Foundation 4th floor North nurses and staff.
