Warrant issued for suspected child rapist
Willie H. Donald A warrant has been issued for a man accused of the sexual assault of a 10-year-old Jackson child.
According to Jackson Police Investigator Richard Harvey, Willie Henry Donald, 45, a former Jackson resident, is charged with sex abuse of a minor, following an incident which reportedly occurred Sunday, Aug. 10 at a Jackson residence.
Monday, Jackson Police Chief Charles Burge said the department received a call around 2:27 p.m. from the alleged victim's mother, who said she had caught Donald having sex with her 10-year-old daughter inside her residence. The chief said the suspect fled the scene and as of Wednesday had not been apprehended.
A forensic interview with the child was conducted at the Regional Child Advocacy Center in Grove Hill.
Inv. Harvey asked that anyone with information concerning Donald's whereabouts to contact the Jackson Police Department at (251) 246-4494. He is described as a black male, 5-ft. 6-in. tall, weighing approximately 150 lbs. He has a tattoo on his upper right arm.
