Mr. Smith and Miss Cunningham Mike Cunningham of Guntersville and Karen Cunningham of Carbon Hill have the honor of announcing the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Sunny Ann to Thomas Stratford Smith, son of Mr and Mrs. Kenneth Smith of Beatrice.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Thomas Alton German of Carbon Hill and the late Avelene German, Bill Cunningham of Jasper and the late Carrie Cunningham and Mr. and Mrs. Reynolds Martin of Foley. She is a 2003 graduate of Enterprise High School and received a bachelor's degree in print journalism and public relations from Troy University. She is currently employed as a territory sales representative with Assurance America of Atlanta, Ga.

The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas A. Black of Beatrice and the late Mr. and Mrs. Roy H. Smith of Boaz. He is a 2000 graduate of Jackson High School and received a bachelor's degree in business administration from Troy University. He is currently employed as an insurance agent with Frontline Insurance in Troy.

The wedding is planned for Saturday, Sept. 27, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. at Bush Memorial Baptist Church in Troy. All family and friends are invited to attend. No invitations will be mailed.
