Maude Richardson McClinton, a native and resident of Chatom, died at the age of 94, July 26, 2008, at the Washington County Nursing Home in Chatom. A former resident of Anniston, she was a retired schoolteacher of 35 years at Anniston High School. She was a member of the Chatom Baptist Church.

Her guardian, Maudine Thompson of Chatom, along with one nephew and six nieces, survive her.

Funeral services were July 29 at the Chatom Baptist Church with Dr. Billy Harris officiating. Interment was in the Chatom Cemetery with Lathan Funeral Home of Chatom directing.
