Aggie Lee Reed-Mills

Aggie Lee Reed-Mills, a native of Cortelyou, died May 28, 2008 at St. Frances Hospital in Los Angeles, Calif., at the age of 65. She attended South West College, worked for the Los Angeles Unified School District as well as the United States Post Office. Isaiah and Rittie Mae Reed, her parents, and four brothers, the Rev. Oscar Reed, Isaiah Reed, Raymond Reed and James Reed, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband, Ural Mills; three daughters, Margaret (Paul Jr.) Hicklin of Fontana, Calif., Renita F. Reed of Compton, Calif. and Bethly Mills of Hawthorne, Calif.; sons, Roderick (Tanja) Reed of Lancaster, Calif., Terrance Reed and Efram (Cassandra) Reed, all of Los Angeles, Calif.; two sisters, Cassie Powell of Wagarville and Dellie Henderson Reed of Long Beach, Calif.; one brother, Charles (Ola) Reed of McIntosh; two aunts, Mary (Fred) Williams of Sunflower and Dorothy Richardson of Chicago, Ill.; two uncles, Eugene (Minerva) Reed of Wagarville and Samuel Reed of Denham Springs, La.; two great-aunts, Carrie Reed and Penny Hardy, both of Wagarville; one great-uncle, Shed (Vivian) Gregg of Leroy and a host of other family members and friends.

Viewing will be Saturday, June 7, 9 a.m. until the funeral hour of 11, at Union Baptist Church in Wagarville with the Rev. Lonnie Moore, pastor, and the Rev. Tommie Moore, eulogist. Burial will be in the Lewis Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Wagarville under the direction of Simpson Family Mortuary in Inglewood, Calif. and Andrews Funeral Home in Jackson.
