Mr. and Mrs. Earl C. Hoven Jr. Mr. and Mrs. Earl C. "Sonny" Hoven Jr. are celebrating a golden wedding anniversary. On June 1, 1958, the Rev. Charles Granade united the former Pam Megginson and Sonny Hoven in marriage at the Grove Hill Baptist Church in Grove Hill.

The couple has three children, Beth (Mark) Criswell and Gina (Darren) Williams, both of Jackson and Mike (Angie) Hoven of Mobile. Their grandchildren are Russell, Will and Brian Criswell; Jessica, Josh and Jacob Williams; and Ansley and Garrett Hoven.

Sunday, June 1, 2008, 2-4 p.m., the couple's children are hosting an anniversary celebration at the Kimbell House. Family and friends are invited through the medium of the press.

The Hovens have expressed, "Your love is a treasured gift, we request no other."
